My work navigates the space between fractured parts — nature and artifice, inspiration and imagination, delight and despair — weaving them into a kaleidoscopic whole. In my paintings, I experiment with process and material to create candy-colored bricolage dreamscapes through which I encase, alter, and distill memories, preserving glimpses of solace. Reconciling the past while imagining the future, I process personal experience through my work, drawing upon formal cues that indicate a sense of childhood’s play, wonder, and innocence. In the face of despair, choosing joy is rebellion. Like a flower facing the sun, my practice turns towards the light.
